Don’t be discouraged. Keep your eye to the viewfinder, stay open and spontaneous, and those happy accidents may become some of your favorite images.

“We find delight in the beauty and happiness of children that makes the heart too big for the body.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Assignment

Delivering Your Subject

Choose one of the elements from the chapter (for example, c-curve, s-curve, diagonal leading line, and so on) and create a strong composition using this element. Be sure that the child or children as subjects are delivered to the viewer.

I chose to use the vertical, parallel lines of the iron fence shown here. The color harmony, as well as the placement of the little girl’s head, comprises a compelling image. 1/125 second, f/4 at ISO 200.
